Paolo Ciocca

After earning his degree in Business Economy magna cum laude, from L.U.I.S.S. «Guido Carli» University (Rome), he successfully got a Ph.D in corporate tax law.

From February 12°, 2018 to March 31°, 2023, he served as Commissioner at the National Securities and Exchange Commission.

Before, he served as Deputy General Director for the Security Intelligence Department  at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

From 2002 to 2007 he was appointed as General Director of Finance at MEF (Italian Ministry of Finance).

His career includes a remarkable experience at the Bank of Italy as well as covering remarkable roles at the ONU, the OECD and ISVAP (Supervisory institute of private and public-interest insurance companies).

Grand Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, he is furthermore the author of several publications in the financial field.
