Rome, 17 April 2023 – Today, the Board of Directors’ meeting of Open Fiber, acknowledging the resignation submitted by Ms. Barbara Marinali as Chairman, resolved to co-opt Mr. Paolo Ciocca as a member of the Board of Directors and, concurrently, to appoint him Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors.
The Board warmly thanks Ms. Marinali for her remarkable dedication during her chairmanship at Open Fiber and her valuable role in advancing the Company’s challenging plan for the digitalization of the Country. Also, it wishes her all the best in her future activities.
Mr. Ciocca served as Commissioner of Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa from 12 February 2018 to 31 March 2023. He previously held the office of Deputy Director General of Dipartimento Informazioni per la Sicurezza (DIS) of the Office of the President of the Council of Ministers. From 2002 to 2007, he played important roles at Mef, also serving as Director General of Finance. His career also includes lengthy experience at Bank of Italy, as well as assignments at the UN, the OECD and Isvap.
