V-Era, an acronym for Village Eco Rural e Smart, is Open Fiber’s platform dedicated to the development of Smart Cities and digital villages. Integrated with innovative IoT (Internet of Things) technology, this solution has been designed to support Public Authorities and citizens in the intelligent management of resources and the promotion of sustainable solutions.

Thanks to an advanced infrastructure, V-Era enables decision-making processes to be optimised by processing real-time data. The solution has been developed to accelerate the digital transformation that makes cities more connected, secure and efficient.

V-Era implements ENEA’s “Smart City Platform (SCP)” standard, adopting the Urban Dataset format to ensure interoperability between platforms and compatibility with future use cases, both for Open Fiber and ENEA.

The V-Era platform helps accelerate the modernisation and digitalisation of local areas on a large scale, driving the development of Smart Cities: intelligent, sustainable and accessible cities designed around citizens’ needs.
