Schools
We bring the benefits of fibre optics to schools with FTTH technology for connected, ultra-fast education.
Today, Open Fiber FTTH fibre optics is available in about 23,000 schools. To guarantee the right to education and promote remote learning, we have started cabling schools across the country and continue our commitment to support education with new innovative digital systems.
ADSL connections are no longer sufficient to meet the needs of modern schools. Digital teaching, electronic registers, online platforms and the management of large data volumes require an ultra-fast, stable and reliable network. Thanks to fibre optics, the connection can reach speeds of up to 10 Gbps, ensuring high performance for teaching, education and all administrative processes.

Healthcare facilities
With FTTH fibre optics, we support hospitals and healthcare facilities with a stable and fast network for a more efficient, secure and digital healthcare system.
Open Fiber’s ultra-broadband is available in around 2,000 hospitals, clinics and healthcare facilities. We have reached this milestone because bringing fibre optics to hospitals is a strategic operation that significantly improves patient care services.
Open Fiber’s ultra-fast network allows to create digital health records, activate remote diagnosis and telemedicine services, organise web meetings with specialists from across Italy and exchange clinical data in real time. Open Fiber’s optical fibre offers browsing speeds of up to 10 Gbps, with all the benefits of superior speed that does not compromise security or connection stability.

Central and local Public Administration

Active services
Open Fiber offers bespoke solutions based on the Business Ethernet Access (BEA) active service. These are designed to meet the specific needs of central and local administrative offices of any type.
Passive services
Open Fiber offers the advantage of ultra-fast dark fibre network for central and local Public Administration sites.
In particular, for the areas classified as Clusters C and D, Open Fiber offers customised plans, designed to meet specific infrastructure, scalability and continuity needs for services aimed at citizens.
