We care deeply about the health and safety of our employees and of all those who, in any capacity, collaborate to achieve our corporate objectives. We strive to ensure the satisfaction of our customers and stakeholders by delivering high-performance and reliable services. We safeguard the environment in which we operate by investing in technologies that respect the ecosystem and by rolling out infrastructure that, by its very nature, is highly efficient and sustainable.
Objectives for Quality, Health and Safety at Work and Environment
We have translated our commitment into a series of objectives aimed at ensuring the continuous improvement of business performance, reducing the environmental impact of our activities, and preventing situations of risk and danger for workers.
- Promote the implementation of the Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental Management System in line with international standards
- Ensure compliance with all applicable obligations, including binding external regulations or those voluntarily subscribed to, any requirements of stakeholders, internal binding regulations, and the company’s internal rules and procedures, which are periodically verified, updated, and adapted.
- Pursue continuous improvement by defining clear and measurable objectives and targets, monitoring progress over time and achievement of results, identifying improvement actions, and promoting monitoring and enhancement of customer satisfaction, employee well-being, and environmental protection.
-
Investigate and prevent the occurrence of non-conformities (in processes and/or systems) and complaints, with the goal of continuously improving company performance, customer satisfaction, prevention and mitigation of health and safety risks, and environmental protection.
- Build a relationship of mutual trust with customers, including end users, by offering high-value-added services and ensuring the reliability of our network.
- Provide safe and healthy working conditions to prevent and minimize the causes of potential injuries, accidents, and occupational illnesses.
- Implement all necessary actions to identify hazards, assess associated risks, and adopt all measures needed to eliminate them, or where this is not possible, to reduce them, by setting objectives and defining continuous improvement plans and programs, periodically verifying the results achieved and making adjustments as needed.
- Ensure maximum safety for our workers and anyone present at Open Fiber workplaces or potentially affected by Open Fiber activities across the entire company production cycle, giving priority to collective protection measures over individual protection measures.
- Monitor any incidents, near misses, and environmental damages occurring during the work activities of company employees and contractors, taking all necessary actions to mitigate them and reporting them to company management.

- Ensure monitoring, reporting to company management, and all necessary actions to control the main internally defined indicators of quality, health and safety, and environment.
- Carry out periodic audits of the activities and processes implemented by the company to verify the adequacy of the QHSE Management System and compliance with regulations, procedures, and contractual standards signed by contractors.
- Promote a working environment that is calm, respectful, inclusive, and open to diversity, taking into account the physical and mental well-being of everyone, regardless of their personal characteristics, opinions, and social conditions.
- Promote and develop sustainability initiatives and projects in HSE, aimed both inside and outside the company.
- Consider environmental aspects in the conduct of business activities, preventing pollution, supporting the conservation of natural resources, and identifying actions to use them more efficiently and reduce consumption, to prevent and/or mitigate negative environmental impacts.
- Consider the effects of climate change and related risks and opportunities in the control of company activities and processes.
- Ensure that all recipients, within their roles and responsibilities, are informed and trained to operate fully aware of the potential risks related to their work activities, both under normal and emergency conditions, and to control them through appropriate plans and in coordination with the competent authorities.
-
Spread and consolidate the culture of quality, health and safety at work and the environment by promoting the engagement, participation, and consultation of workers, including through their representatives, and of other stakeholders where appropriate.
- Define and control, through specific evaluation criteria, the performance of suppliers of products and services, involving them in achieving the objectives set by the company.
- Ensure cooperation and transparency with Authorities, Institutions, and Associations to ensure maximum contribution in terms of commitment and responsibility.
Accordingly, everyone, within their respective areas of responsibility and competence, must consider user satisfaction, occupational health and safety, and environmental protection as primary objectives and as integral and inseparable parts of their work activities.
Moreover, Open Fiber

To ensure the continuous improvement of its performance, the Company is committed to guaranteeing the effectiveness and efficiency of management by carrying out appropriate risk assessment and planning activities, defining internal rules and procedures, measuring, analyzing, and monitoring, supervising and controlling, then reviewing and defining the necessary actions to achieve the expected results and set new targets.
