About Open Fiber

Open Fiber is a wholesale operator in the Italian network infrastructure market. This business model guarantees, on one hand, free access to all interested Operators on equal terms, and on the other hand, provides users with a wide range of choices.
The Company is subject to the direction and coordination of the sole shareholder Open Fiber Holdings S.p.A., a company in which CDP Equity S.p.A. holds a 60% stake (a company owned by the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group) and 40% by Fibre Networks Holdings S.a.r.l. (a company owned by the Macquarie Group).

We want to create the largest fibre-optic network in the country. As a wholesale operator, to date we have brought ultra-fast connection to a number of Italian cities and small towns. Open Fiber’s business plan envisages network development in 271 cities, in over 7,000 municipalities and in industrial areas to connect approximately 25 million property units up to 10 Gbps.

We are building the largest fibre optic network in the country, using existing physical infrastructure whenever and wherever possible.
Our network is accessible to all interested Operators, allowing everyone to travel at speeds of up to 10Gbps.
