ESG rating
Our ESG ratings attest the strength of our commitment to sustainable growth and serve as a tool for transparency towards our stakeholders. Through independent assessments, we monitor our sustainability performance, guide our long-term strategic decisions, and objectively measure the company’s contribution to a more responsible and inclusive digital future.
CDP – (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project)
CDP is an international non-profit organisation that provides a system for measuring, understanding, and improving the environmental impact of investors, businesses, and local authorities.
In 2024, Open Fiber submitted the CDP Climate Change questionnaire for the first time, and in 2025, it joined the prestigious ‘A-List’. This achievement places the company among the top 4% of highest-scoring firms globally, establishing Open Fiber as a leader in climate change transparency.
GRESB
GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) is an independent organisation that has developed an international assessment to evaluate ESG performance and management processes.
In 2025, in its third year of participation, Open Fiber achieved the maximum ‘5-Star’ rating with a score of 99/100, positioning itself above the average score of both its peer group and the overall total of participants.
EcoVadis
In 2024, Open Fiber joined EcoVadis for the first time—the ESG vendor rating platform that has developed an assessment to evaluate performance across four areas: environment, ethics, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement.
In 2025, Open Fiber was awarded the Gold Medal, placing the company within the top 5% of all companies evaluated in these categories.
Open-es
At the end of 2023, Open Fiber joined Open-es as a Value Chain Leader Partner, with the aim of promoting sustainability throughout its supply chain and strengthening the integration of ESG values into the business.
In 2025, for the second consecutive year, the company measured its performance, achieving a sustainability score of 87/100, validated by an independent third party (RINA).
ESG Certification
ISO 14064-1 Certification – The ISO 14064-1 standard sets out the principles and requirements for designing and reporting organisational-level GHG (greenhouse gas) inventories by defining a specific policy for reducing emissions and achieving carbon neutrality.
To measure its GHG inventory, Open Fiber identified a baseline year (2022) against which to formulate its emissions reduction targets. The inventory comprehends all three scopes of the company’s emissions: specifically, direct emissions related to the vehicle fleet and heating systems, indirect emissions related to electricity consumption, and indirect emissions related to the value chain. The GHG emissions inventory is certified annually by an independent third party in accordance with ISO 14064-1.
